The second 'new' series of Doctor Who is starting soon. The series to which you refer finished last summer.

I used to watch all sorts of rubbish, but now watch only Doctor Who (when it restarts), occasional cricket and a bit of news in the mornings. I watch a bit of Animal Planet and Discovery to practise Dutch.

And Project Runway[\quote]

I said Project Runway! :) (Assuming you were including that in your list of tv shows that no one has mentioned.)

Adam likes that show, too.
Nope, nope. I was surprised no one mentioned Deadwood in particular. Now, there's a town that needs some ZT.

I actually liked your list. I thought: Hmmmm... I could watch TV at Elianna's house.

When it's on, and Adam and I can't agree on anything else, we watch it. I don't think that counts to what you're asking.

Yes, we Americans are always a bit behind you Europeans in most things.

I understand the new doctor only lasted one season and you will be getting a new one.

Btw, the old series was written by Douglas Adams sometimes and produced by the same people who did the Avengers.

I loved the Avengers, Mrs. Peel is Hot! the cars are cool and the stories fun. Steed really knows how to wear a bowler.

Sean

I'll redouble Sean on this one.

Scan your local TV guides for this but it could just as easily be on the Food or Lifestyle or Comedy channel.

House
Grey's anatomy
Gillmore Girls
Alias
All CSI's
24
last but not least : Desperate Housewives! ;)
Watching these on DVD is the best!

Ali G (for fun, even though Alex will disagree with me on this :)
American Idol
Friends

My favorite quiz show with what's her name " you're the weakest link!!!"

Two of my absolute favorites:
The West Wing
Sherlock Holmes (with Jeremy Brett -- okay, it wasn't exactly a series)

In no particular order:

Futurama
The Simpsons
X-Files

Haven't seen "Numbers" yet but sounds like something I'd like.

I also like quiz shows. When I moved to Germany I found it a good way to learn the language and the culture. But I'm missing those BBC quiz shows which are way better than the ones on German television.

I was looking through the posts to add on to my netflix queue (else I'd have to cancel, since there're no shows I couldn't think of any shows to watch, offhand!)

I realised BBFers seem to like 24, Alias, Simpsons, Gilmore Girls, Battlestar, Lost.

I was pleasantly surprised nobody mentioned Friends. But nobody else likes Frasier? I'm crushed! Frasier's the best! In fact, read the transcripts here.

Wow. Frasier's only flaw is that nobody there plays bridge!

I don't have a tv.

Last year I had room-mates who did watch a LOT. Living with roommates had its plusses, but I certainly don't miss the tv!
Please note: I am interested in boring, bog standard, 2/1.

A new favorite show: Ugly Betty

It's so campy yet sentimental and real. If you want to watch the latest episode, I believe that it's being show on abc.com. If you can't watch on your computer, a synopsis is at www.televisionwithoutpity.com which is a great website in general to read about/discuss tv.

Oh yes, Heroes! That is a really good new show, too. There's finally something on Mondays that I'm interested in seeing.

And some returning shows that are coming on strong: Battlestar Galactica and Veronica Mars.

Heros is pretty good, and the new season of Battlesttar, The Office, and Veronica Mars seem up to form. I'm also watching a very silly show called "How I met Your Mother". The, of course, there's my Cartoon Network staples:

The Venture Brothers
Sealab 2021
Naruto
The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy

I like Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, however, it looks like it might be headed for an ignoble end.

Heroes IS very appealing......and my pick for doing the most with the least. Shark is worth it just to see James Woods at his irascible, sarcastic best.
The Grand Design, reflected in the face of Chaos...it's a fluke!

Well..., I don't turn on the TV except to watch movies. I tried watching Seinfield and Friends a couple of times, but soon lost interest.

I did like a few series that I watched on DVD though:

The Kingdom I & II (aka Riget -- Danish mini-series)
The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes (BBC -- the one w/ Jeremy Brett)
Twin Peaks
The Singing Detective (BBC)
The Prisoner
The Soporanos
Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy

Hee, that's one show I'd say "good riddance" to. I sometimes end up seeing the first five minutes or so, and it really annoys me. It's one of those shows that I can't stand to watch, and would have to leave the room when it's on. Luckily there are very few of those shows. :P

I only watch my shows on DVD, but I've discovered a couple of great additions to my previous favourites.

BBC's yes minister and yes prime minister (why only 2 seasons? arghhh!!!!)

Agatha Cristie's Poirot, starring David suchet's

Love them!
