I think I might be able to take Rodwell in bridge boxing, but Meckstroth is pretty big.

Or how about stand-up bridge? There seem to be a lot of players that are pretty comical.... :)

I would imagine that a physical translation of what is occurring at the table might be an interesting way to play the game.

Some ideas:

If the opponents are in trouble, and you are prepared to double, or "hit it," physically punch the opponent as your double. Of course, if he thinks he can make it, he can punch you back to redouble. As a corollary, punching your partner after this is an S.O.S. redouble.

If you are being strip-squeezed, you must disrobe as you make each of your costly pitches.

An inverted minor raise is probably not allowed.

Upside-down signals are allowed, if you can pull it off.

A scissors coup is allowed, but only in midnight games.

Stuff like that.
"Gibberish in, gibberish out. A trial judge, three sets of lawyers, and now three appellate judges cannot agree on what this law means. And we ask police officers, prosecutors, defense lawyers, and citizens to enforce or abide by it? The legislature continues to write unreadable statutes. Gibberish should not be enforced as law."

Actually, I always thought of Full Contact Bridge.

4 players start equidistant from a deck of 52 cards. You each need to claim 13 cards and sit back in your seats.

Given the average age of bridge players I suspect "Contact Bridge" would closely resemble a Monty Python sketch.

Can you imagine the signalling you could do, though? "If I start by throwing a jab, that means I want you to lead clubs".

Contact Bridge sounds fun though....although you might need to make tear-proof cards.

And making a "pass" could re-start the sexual revolution
