I've been playing for about a week and have accumulated a list of partners who allowed me to mark them as friends, and with whom I'd like to play again. I know how to look to see who is online, and sometimes I get an automated chat message that one of my friends has logged on, but I don't know how to go from there. So my newbie question is, how do you get together with friends who are online to partner at some table? Thanks for your replies.

If I can hitchhike another question in here, how do you click to concede all remaining tricks to your opponent? I know how to claim all remaining tricks as declarer, but don't see an option to concede to opponents. :)

In the lobby your friends will be listed first - in purple.

After you have clicked "claim", there is a small button to "claim less". Push it until the claim number of tricks is 0.

To get together with friends, click on them in the player display or the chat message that says they just logged in. If they're at a table, you can select "Join" to go to the same table they're at.

The specific clicking mechanism depends on whether you're using the standalone Windows app or the Flash client in the web browser.

Or you can start a table, and reserve seats for them. They then can join your table.
