In one partnership I've been persuaded (told!) to play that first seat at favourable, 3S is a weaker call than 2S. Thus this hand is a 3S bid for us, change the spades to AJ10xxx and it's a 2S opening.

and partner opened 3S in first seat, favourable. I passed throughout as the opponents bid up to 5C, which was the correct decision.
