Scoring: IMP

(1NT)-?

1NT = 15-17

Feel free to use whatever system you want but at the table we were playing Woolsey. (2 = 1 major 2 = hearts and a minor). Double ostensibly shows a major-minor 2-suiter with a longer minor but I guess I'm not sure if it can be used to show big hands like this.

Anyway, what do you think best strategy is here?

I would just bid 4.

If LHO bids 4 and partner doesn't double, I bid 5.
That's impossible. No one can give more than one hundred percent. By definition that is the most anyone can give.

4H seems canonical. :P
Please note: I am interested in boring, bog standard, 2/1.

4.

More of a problem when 4 comes back to me. However the favourable colours will encourage me to bid more.

Ok I also bid 4 and it didn't really occur to me to bid anything else.

Played only a few boards with this partner but he seemed a little batty....

the auction continued as expected, maybe:

(1NT)-4-(4)-5
(5)-?

Since you all bid 4 so condifently maybe you're not disappointed that you didn't walk the dog on this one but I sorta was.

Press on?
