I can't anwser the question without knowing more about the system. I have never played a system where 1H shows 8-11 HCP, where 2C shows 11 HCP, where 3C shows 15-22 points and where we jump to game with this hand opposite a passed hand partner. The explanations seem absurd to me.
Please note: I am interested in boring, bog standard, 2/1.

South shouldn't bid 4H, that is too much red with a passed hand partner when we are red with so little playing strength.

I was too quick to comment on the definitions, I forgot that we are also a passed hand so 8-11 is normal.

The question is in a pretty unreadable style, but, if read it correctly, I think I pass.

so you read the auction and realised that GIB has 1471 and no defence whatsoever? we should say wow Hamdi you're great?
... and I can prove it with my usual, flawless logic.

What? The way this is written, we opened 1 and rebid 3 with this hand and are being asked what to do when our partner's 5 bid is doubled.
Please let me know about any questions or interest or bug reports about GIB.

I pass. As unreliable and ridiculous as GIB often bids, I see no reason to pull (GIB might also raise to 6 :)).

Ok smarty,

Keep going on to focus the magician's hat. Whoops, this time no rabbit but...

Incredible, I presented the big picture impartially.

Seems you are unable to see facts. Why don't you come close to table and understand what's going on ? 16 players played same board. Mine was not either best score or best approach. I am trying to find underlying reasons. And I can never say I am the finest bridge player that ever lived.

10 players decided 4-5-6
5 players decided 3-4-5
1 South player started with 2 and EW 6x=

I am sorry, but you are a humanbeing like me, and a terrible thing is happening to you. So attention must be paid!

Be happy, here's one of bazillions own blunder on our daily ACBL tournament:

Hamdi, apart from the name calling and the vague statement 'I am looking for underlying results' I did not understand any of your post. Could you please make it a little clearer?

I would like to know why the subtitle of this thread is 'Listening to the auction'

Looks like partner made a penalty double of 5 with AKxx and QJTxxxx. Do you agree with me that this is a very bad bid? Do you agree that, in general, it is a bad idea to assume partner has made a very bad bid? So do you agree with me that there should be no way on Earth to realise that partner has this hand?

So why do you think that by 'listening to the auction' we can come to a conclusion that partner has this hand or a similar one?
... and I can prove it with my usual, flawless logic.

i don't get it. the GIBs bid this like they were on some heavy drugs, you made an irrational, irresponsible bid, got lucky and now you're trumpeting your skill and insulting other posters?
well done. you're the best bridge player ever. you should turn professional.

Spoiler

Ok now that you corrected it I understand. This is an easy pass. Since we bid game as a passed hand opposite a mere invitation partner knows we have extra distribution. In that context we are as balanced as we could be, so why in the world would we not trust partner?

Having now clicked on the link, obviously the bidding by all the players on the actual hand has nothing at all to do with bridge, so I guess I'm not seeing the point.

Also now that I quoted your post, I hadn't even seen the hidden comment until now. What in the world does that mean?

I respect your criticism right like above. We may sometimes agree, sometimes disagree, or never agree, no big deal. You might even have more sound logical reasons. At least I know to correct an own mistake is a gain on the way to improve in future.

I listened the auction and came to a conclusion which I did not feel myself well removing penalty double. After I inspected traveler I ned th others analyses.

Believe or not I am not a bragger, sorry I cannot accept.
