This should be thought of as "work in progress". We are hoping that, by letting the Forums crowd check this out, we will get some useful feedback before we announce this facility to the general BBO membership (and make it possible to access the new vugraph archive directly through the BBO software).

So please let us know what you think, either by posting to Forums or by sending me an e-mail (fred@bridgebase.com).

You can access the new vugraph archive by clicking this link:

Some things to pay attention to:

- We *think* we have fixed the old and annoying bug in which the commentary that appeared in our vugraph log files was often associated with the wrong matches. If we are right then you won't see this problem for any future matches that appear in the vugraph archive (or any of the matches that have appeared within the past few days).

Please let us know if you see this happen again!

- The new vugraph archive allows you to download .lin files (which can be viewed with the Windows version of the BBO client) just like before, but it also includes links that allow you to view these matches using the Handviewer program.

- The Handviewer program had to be extended so that it could be used to browse .lin files of the appropriate type. Those of you with your own web sites can take advantage of this new functionality. If you want to learn more about how this works, search for "linurl" in the Handviewer documentation (available through the following link):

- The new vugraph archive includes a search function. This will hopefully make it easier for people to find records of specific events, all hands played on BBO vugraph by specific players, etc.

Feedback is welcome - please let us know what you think :)
