I think GIB plays Sandwich NT, so it thought there was a big double fit in the black suits.

In the Automated Express Tournaments, all players are required to use SAYC, which does not include sandwich NT, so maybe GIB is confused.

I guess I misunderstood how this tournament works. I thought GIB would be playing SAYC, since the description says "Everyone uses SAYC", but that's not the case.
