1C-(3C)-P-(P)-DBL

GIB describes this double as takeout. Seems a good place for a penalty double (especially given GIB's "aggressive" style). I wonder if others agree.

Discussion of GIB's bidding does not belong in a forum called "GIB Robot Discussion"?

I'm pretty sure the OP has about 999 things he'd rather see improved in GIB than an auction that occurs...like never? But maybe not, since he posted it.

Since I was not clear, if an auction like this could be likely misconstrued by two experts, it seems the thread should be moved to determine what this auction means. I'm only half-kidding.

I am the opening poster!

From what I have seen, GIB tends to make a jump overcall in opener's minor far more frequently than humans. That is: this sequence isn't as rare as you might think if you're not playing with the robots a lot.

Anyway, it seemed like an easy fix, if indeed it is looked upon as a fix. I'm not clamoring for a change, just pointing out a possible area for improvement.

Phil says 'wrong Forum' but what would be the right Forum? This Forum suggests:
Report GIB bugs (new thread for a new bug please)
Suggest systems that GIB should play
Discuss GIB strategies
Report..ahem, good plays by GIB

Is this Bob?

Welcome to the forums. I was thinking 'GBD or maybe the SAYC section'. I don't really care, and I was just trying to make a point.

@ Tim, Sorry, I didn't notice you were the OP. Whenever I see a fix the GIB bug I automatically think BBradley lol.
