ACBL robot games imps and matchpoints

was curious as to why there are no ACBL robot imp games only matchpoints?
And couldnt it be where we get to choose what seat we would like to sit in
and do away with the best hand at the table stuff, I understand this tries
to make the playing field level. Just a thought.

The "best hand" part is mainly to make the game more enjoyable, as you're more likely to declare.

Having everyone sit in the same seat makes sense for duplicate, so you're competing equally. If you could choose your seat, they'd probably have to have separate rankings for each seat. In a small game, that might be only 2 or 3 comparisons with other humans.

I do agree with you about IMP games, I'd like to see them.
