This slam was missed by everyone in a recent teams match. This was the auction at our table. Could we do any better, or did the interference use up too much space? We were playing acol, so 2♣ was not game forcing.

Tough one. Someone has to take a rosy view of their hand. Perhaps East, with a heart control, should take a move over 4♠.

Well, you have 4-5 losers. Pard should cover up at least 2-3, so...

Too bad 2C is not GF, but your hand is still strong enough for a whereagles 4H!-splinter for Clubs.

I thought of this after the hand, but is my hand good enough to force to game here? (I was East.)
Yes, absolutelly, all you need is 2 aces (or diamond king) in front to make 5♣. Even if you don´t make it, opponents will make 4♥ then most likelly.
The question is if West has enough to go to the 6 level after 4♥, I think he barely does.

It is west who knows about the double fit and two controls in diamonds. Maybe he could try 5♦ over 4♥.

I'd have considered 4♦ (kickback clubs) over 2♥ fully expecting 4♥ to come in next at this vul, but it's possible 4♠ is the right spot. I suppose you have to bid 3♥ but I don't like it. Not sure what 4♣ is here, I'd like it to be this hand, but not sure it is.

3H to me is a splinter in support of clubs. West should just bid blackwood over that.

3♥ is a splinter for me too.
Not sure if Blackwood is best next but whatever happens west's only bad news is that there is no Grand.

West needs good spades from partner to make a slam, anyway. If we are stuck with the 3H bid, then 5S by West; without a heart control, East can pass. With one, he can choose a slam.
If we get to bid 4H as East, West should just launch (probably 6C). West's 4S bid was to blame in any case, so he gets the charge.
