Myself and Simon, Levin+partner lost by 9 last night. Simon+I played poorly, getting some tough decisions right but dropping some easy IMPs along the way. Unfortunately, this means most of the hands worth posting are ones that we got right at the table - apologies!

classic time for an underlead - RHO's not shown anything in diamonds but is unlikely to have a singleton unless 2512, LHO must have a control there and the rest of your hand's crap. as for a 2nd trick outside diamonds, you have 4 spades so no good unless p has kx and they're 5422 around the table, and any clubs or trumps p has are finessable .

you even have the 10 so there's no chance of partner screwing it up with Q9 over the KJ.
