Its matchpoints and you play in 3N:

1. T, x, T, Q
2. K, A, 6, 3
3. 2....

Lets pretend you have a mild brain hemorrhage, forget to count your tricks and try the T. This draws the King and a low heart is returned.

Assuming LHO won't have the A + K + A for the WJO, can you see your way back to nine tricks?

Are there variations?

Win, cash the diamonds, discarding 2 from dummy and hope are 4-2, playing KJ. If LHO turns up with 3 then he is probably 3631, cash the then play low club and hope to have a singleton 6 so you can duck it :P or if RHO hasnt discarded all his spades then play KJ (4225). :D

If are 1-4 with RHO then play a 4th one and he is endplayed :)

Yes, that seems to be the correct solution. It seems like west is:3-6-2-2. If west has only one diamond we endplay east with the forth diamond.

I was also considering the RC implications when LHO drops the T/9 on the 2nd round.

To make this more interesting, I think I'll give declarer the 8.

If LHO is 3-6-2-2, no need to gambit your 3rd. Just cash all and play KJ. At the end RHO will give you a spade :)

If declarer has 8 in hand and LHO turns to be 3631 then duck the 8. If the 8 is in dummy oh well I think RHO has no defence in case clubs are 5-1 when you play small to the 8 and cover cheaply LHO card or even 9 or 10 and then duck the return to dummy's 8. :P
