Help
HELP PLEASE
I have a new computer with Windows 8, and have downloaded BBO.
The sound won't work.
I have disinstalled twice, and reinstalled.
I have put a x in the sound box, and underlined in blue the fonctions that
I want the sound for but still nothing.
It's not easy to play in a Tourney without sound, and I am hoping that someone
will know what to do, to put me out of my misery.
I have version BBO 5.2.21

Have you solved your pb ?
A friend of mine has got the same pb I tried to solved it.
It worked for a while but again no sound and the solution I used does not
help any more. This is strange.

Here's what worked for me on a Chromebook:
1. I clicked on the lock icon in the url bar
2. went to site permissions
3. changed the midi permissions from the default (ask) to <allow>
I have had the same problem off and on with various browsers and computers over the years. First time I found a change which almost made sense and worked!

Losing sound and other settings is (or at least was) frequent after Windows updates, as you say.
I don't remember exactly how I fixed it last time, but it was something fairly obvious and I would start by looking at Windows/Settings/Sound and BBO/Account/Settings (plus Chrome/Settings/Site Settings if the problem is just the microphone).
