A small heart to the King and the Ace of hearts back on the second trick after some thought. You ruff in dummy and East discards a heart on the small club to hand.

A small heart to the King and the Ace of hearts back on the second trick after some thought. You ruff in dummy and East discards a heart on the small club to hand.

It would be helpful if you told us which small hearts West played on the first 2 tricks in combination with a style of leading.

Sorry. I was so happy they hadn't cashed the spades I didn't even check this important fact. West led High-Low, showing a doubleton.

In that case setting up the diamonds looks correct. So ♦K, club to table, ♦ ruff (high), club to table, ♦A or something like that. It feels like there ought to be a way of making it when West has ♦Qxxx too but I cannot see it - will wait for one of the better players to post it.

East seems to be 3730 anyway.
Honnor allocation must be ♠A and ♦Q in our left, nothing else makes sense, so no diamond finese.

It's easy if clubs 2-1 and diamonds no worse than 4-2. It's also easy if West started with 4 hearts, though I'm guessing they are 2-7 based on what's been said. I'd ruff the heart, cross to K♦, lead K♣ to A♣. If 2-1, establish diamonds with 2 high ruffs and lead 3♣ to 5♣. If clubs 3-0, we need Q♦ short or ♦3-3.
Alternatively on finding out that clubs are 3-0 we could opt for the ruffing finesse in ♦. Only problem is that I cannot imagine East has the Q♦, unless West failed to lead a top spade from AKxx(x).

Spade tops are obviously divided.
If West has a doubleton heart and ♦Qxxx there seems no way to make the contract. This is also unlikely because East would probably have introduced his four card spade suit over 2♥.
So the issue boils down whether to play for diamonds to be 3-3 or East for ♦Qxxx.
If East has ♦Qxxx you must either overtake diamonds or unblock the ♦K and later run the ♦J without cashing the ♦A first, possibly losing to ♦Qx with West.
If East has ♦Qxxx, West has raised hearts with a small doubleton when holding a six card spade suit headed by the king or ace as his only honors card.
Also West would have made three dubious bids with something like ♠Axxxxx, ♥xx ♦xx ♣xxx.
So play West for holding three diamonds or ♦Qx.
