JEC match, stars all around.

IMPs, vul vs not.

Edit: You don't know whether partner's pass means anything.

DBL.
You do not really think of bidding 5 do you?
If anything it is pass or DBL.
Pd's [ass is not forcing.

He's passed over both 3 and 5 so he has a minimum opener vulnerable. You've stated your hand, though personally I prefer a 4 bid direct with your hand as it's all trumps and lack of defensive tricks.

The only action now is Dbl. I feel even given that the opponents have established their double fit. After partner has opened, 4 trumps to an high honour and a few extras seems a good enough reason to double a five level contract every day of the week, in my opinion.

I had a similar situation in a tournament yesterday when we had a fp misunderstanding and were +300 when +650 was available. My partner and an opponent both said it was a clear fp when we have freely bid a vulnerable game against non-vul opponents. I did not think pass was forcing. For reference the auction was 1C (1S) 2H (2S) 4H (4S) p p x. We are now thinking of playing fp here. Thoughts Timo?

FWIW it didn't even cross my mind that pass was forcing, at the table. Seemed pretty clear that pd was broke and has nothing to say. I added that to the post just to clear it up that there was no agreement.

So this falls back to would you x 5D. What if they run to 5H, would you x that too?

I would bid 4S initially. Having bid this way (which I don't necessarily hate) I would pass 5D.

Interesting the first pass would be forcing every day of the week for me. When I bid 3, I committed us to 3, so any passes below 3 are forcing for us and 3 by pd is weaker than pass.

Would never bid 5, I would probably double.
