GIB prefers 5 of a minor to 3NT

Just play bridge robots. Human South.



3NT was described as 2-5; 2-5; 2-5; 2-5; 19-24 HCP; Stop in spades.

5 was described as 6+ 10-11 total points.

On top of everything else that's wrong with this bid, the North hand has 12 total points the way GIB counts point, not 10-11.

My sympathies. Unfortunately GIBidiot has gotten into the habit, in such sequences, of bidding its long suit when it wants to make a slam try or show it's "points".
I think here if you bid 5H it will bid 6C and there maybe the matter will rest.
I have seen this many times.
