I think in SEF the 2C opener is strong, but not as good as 2D as a strong opener, so their 2Cs are lighter than 2/1 or sayc players use.

You are too polite. If I were the author/translator, I'd either ignore the post by pescetom or post a scathing retort.

I'm not sure what you find so reprehensible about my post, maybe you confuse me with someone else. I merely asked where the quiz was, since the OP and the first few messages didn't mention it. I enjoyed the quiz and thought it was well presented, even though I don't agree with all of it. In particular:
#2 I continue to control-bid, "undisclosed extras" or not
#3 4S for me is not "brutal" but fast arrival
#5 I wouldn't open that hand 2C
#6 I don't control diamonds, so I bid 4H, which is not "sign off" here (if I had no extras I would have bid 3NT non-serious or 4H, not 3S)
#8 I bid 4D too, but I prefer it to show control of spades that partner denied.

shyams presumably meant to write thepossum -- you both have a "p" in your names and they kind of rhyme. He's the one who posted a list of criticisms of the quiz.

Thanks to

I was happy to score 5/8 -- less than other posters -- but I found the experience to be interesting and educational.
I agree with the recommended answers except on #6 where I chose 5 -- judged acceptable -- but awarded no marks.
