Sometimes when looking through results at other tables in a robot tournament, or in casual competitive play when there are robots at the comparator tables, it would be nice to be able to tell whether the robots involved are basic or advanced. (For instance, this sometimes explains why other tables have obtained different results.)

Clicking on the name of a human player at another table brings up their profile information. Maybe the robots could have "profile information" too?

I think they should have profile information and unique nicknames too, but that doesn't really solve the problem. Ideally there would be a field to distinguish the type of player (perhaps just "human"/"robot" or perhaps also AI versus algorithmic robots) and another field to identify the model of robot ("Gib_adv_1.1" or "Jack 6" or whatever).

Is it possible for robots other than versions of GIB to be used on the site? If so, the situation is more complicated than I imagined.

No but it should be, one can dream (or sleep and wait for some competitor to make it reality).
It seems quite logical that one can partner with any robot that one can afford and is allowed (with a human partner) in a certain level of event.
I was amused to see that robots are already admitted and graded in the EBU national ranking.
Time for the platform(s) and WBF to catch up.

We don't currently save this information anywhere.

You can sometimes get a clue if the robot's partner has a purple badge. Then they are a Prime customer and might be playing in the Prime club with an advanced robot. This is most useful when comparing results from hands played within the Prime club where outcomes seem to differ depending on the robot type.
