Is twitch.tv the future as regards watching bridge on the Vugraph?

I watched USBC last weekend. Commentary was great, but being able to see the commentators added nothing for me.

The UI is that of a school project website - no better than RealBridge, which I also dislike.

Call me curmudgeonly, but BBO does exactly what is required; it would be nice if it stayed that way.

This kind of BBO/Zoom hybrid is not for me.

Waiting to be flamed! :)

Sadly, BBO does more than is required...

I just think, if it ain’t broke...

Twitch.tv does zip for the Vugraph experience, in my opinion.

No flame, but I call you curmudgeonly :)

You may find the RealBridge UI cluttered, but it is uncharitable to assimilate it to twitch+vugraph IMO.
Twitch didn't even work well for me, and apparently does not guarantee time delay either.

If there is one area in which we definitely should be seeing the players and not just the bridge, then it is surely broadcast of high level play.

I agree that there is no hurry to see the commentators, but that is something that half a century of sports broadcasting has never resolved, for obvious reasons.

But it is broke

It does not allow one to delay the broadcast and has enabled all sorts of cheating

Ahah!

I was aware they were dealing with self-kibitzing etc.

I didn't know that using third-party software was the cure.

I wonder if it's possible to tweak BBO vugraph to be behind real-time play?

Thanks.
