In our VACB game today (#35587) the name 'enichols' was in pale gray instead of normal black. This was both in the table list and in the view of table where she was playing. what does this indicate ??

Logged in as invisible, I believe, if it's the foreground (not the shell around the name) that is grey.
Note: "invisible" doesn't mean what you think it means, and it's a login setting that is sticky, so has to be turned off by the user explicitly.

I believe names turn grey if the user has checked the 'be right back' box in BBO (not related to invisibility, the status of which can't be seen by others).

FWIW, log in as invisible, and you can still be detected by:
- chat in main chat window does not go to mail
- if u r at a table, it will show in your profile
