Please without critiquing my inadequate passed 2C followed by a disgusted concession of all tricks (expecting a bottom) - could have made 50% with 2C I was relieved to find myself down the bottom with a load of "experts" in spectacularly disastrous slams and similar concessions. 7NT x, xx - N etc

I couldnt actually find a good forcing bid. Seemingly those who did ended up in more trouble

Top score was actually 1S doubled minus n by West

Its the funniest MP hand and scores I have ever seen. Is there a way to post a traveller

Try this linkfor the traveller

Its a lesson never to give up in a GiB MP tourney

XX instead of 1 as south would have told partner that you have the majority of the points. partner X's west 1 bid. best defense keeps it to 4 tricks only imo.

The redouble was what I missed. It didn't save everyone. Did you check the traveller which is the point of my post

I actually feel relieved that I didn't find a way to force to game or slam

Wow. 49 different results for one board must be some kind of record..

Just for reference, if you do start with 1, you can follow up with 2 as fourth suit forcing. GIB will bid 2 to show its 3 card support, after which you can follow up with a forcing 3. Of course, GIB will now bid 3 to deny a diamond stopper (???), after which your 5 will end the auction and leave you in a contract that can only be made double dummy.

(How you can make 5 double dummy is actually quite interesting in itself too..)

Amusingly, if you redouble and pull GIB's double of 1 to 2, GIB will happily jump to 3NT which promises a 15 count.

Its not just the number of results. Its the nature of them

Apologies for seeing the funny side of things and trying to share it occasionally

I would likely have been one of those in grand and missing 1SWx-3
