I just finished playing in the Summer 2025 NABC Robot Individual - Day 3/3 and checked the traveller for boards 22, 23, and 24 and the boards are different then those for the top player. Can someone explain why?

It happens all of the time. The explanation always is to prevent cheating. And although this does make a little bit of sense, it clearly is the wrong approach, as it makes tournament results random, as not all boards offer the same opportunity to score. Limiting participation and playing multi staged events with winners of brackets instead makes a lot more sense. When not all play the same board a leaderboard simply is nonsense.

I've just had a flashback to a club where we always played 2 sections, shuffle deal and play, 1 overall winner, awarding masterpoints.
But the food table was great.
