I wondered why I scored highly on this hand. And sure enough it was down to an apparent brain snap by the West Bot on trick 7 where it plays Q rather than 10 of Diamonds???

The obvious difference was my use of 2C but surely it could see dummy and I think it doesn't even fit the (Possum's) definition of a psych

Same bug as here. Miscalculates double dummy on a large number of simulated boards, thinking that it will result in down 2.

Well done for playing anti-field and getting a result out of it.

Thx but I am curious how any (except a few) sims can think that is a better play

So am I. As mentioned in that thread, it's nothing to do with the actual hands it deals out at all, which clearly show it being the wrong card. It's as if it sees it's a stupid card to play, not even worth wasting time calculating a double dummy score for, but then gives it an arbitrary positive value instead.

EDIT You made me think a bit though and investigate the DD a bit. How many people would change their play based on the Q. Does Gib think like that? But you don't have many trumps to play with
