Now knowing that the bot isn't that good at Michaels I decide just to bid 1♦, and on the next round 2♥, what surprised me was that 3♥, now suddenly was a 6-card suit, and no longer with longer ♦s

Funnily enough this week I saw a beginner make much the same mistake in interpreting this sequence, missing an evident diamonds slam.
Maybe GIB is human after all.

I would never open that 1D playing with GIB. It will never beleive you have a 5M if you don't open it.
