Reviewing hands on BBO is horrible

I really hate the user experience of reviewing hands on BBO.

I wonder if anyone else feels the same way?

Say I have just played a tournament or a challenge and I want to look through the hands. I click on the "History" tab to look at the boards, but the actual board with the cards only takes up about 1/6 of the screen - the rest is wasted space. As far as I can see there is no way to make it bigger. Even if I drag the window to make it larger, infuriatingly the actual board doesn't increase in size at all!

Am I missing something or is it just awful UI?

Another option for viewing results is to leave the BBO platform and review the hands in a new tab by looking through the results but now we lose a lot of the functionality. There is no option to move onto next board, or to view the board from the other table(s). Essentially, no navigation options.

These frustrations are enough to stop me playing on the site altogether.

Possible Fixes

I would suggest doing one of two things:

1. Change it so that when you click on the Results tab, the board fills the entire screen; OR
2. Make the navigation of results in a new window the same as how navigation works for going through Vugraph deals, which have good options for navigating through the hands.

If you drag the vertical divider between the History sidebar and the rest of the window to the left, the handviewer at the bottom will resize proportionately.

That doesn't really happen for me. The absolute biggest the handviewer gets is barely a 1/6 of the whole window, probably less. I would post a screenshot but I don't seem to be able to do it in this forum.

I think the problem is that you can't change the *heights* of the results vs the handviewer. The handviewer only increases in width if there is sufficient height to fit it in, and has been locked with a maximum height so the taller your screen, the more results you see, but still the same handviewer size.

chose "Export" in the Handmenue and "Handviewer link". Nextr click on the poped up link to open the hand in an extra
Tab of your Internetbrowser. You now can move and resize this new Tab and navigate in this Hand. If you want to see teh same board from anopther table or another board do the same with this other in your first browsertab. Sorry for any mistakes, but English is a foreign Language to me.

Exactly, yes.

Thanks Stefan. I know I can do this, as I say in the OP. But it's annoying to have to do this every time. And you get no navigation options. I.e. you can't go from board to board or see the results at the other tables (as you can when viewing Vugraph results).

If you had ever tried reviewing the hands in Realbridge or LoveBridge, you would have a much longer list of complaints about the BBO interface :)
But yes, it is poorly implemented and could easily be improved.

Yes those are both excellent. But I'm only after the bare minimum, which is a user interface I can actually see.

To post a screenshot, upload it to an image hosting site like imgur.com, then enter the link in the image tool.

This is what happens when I drag the divider as far as possible.
