A rare bird in the BBO Forums tournament yesterday. I can't see how many players found the criss-cross squeeze, but 14 of 157 made thirteen tricks.

It is actually a positional squeeze. You can clarify the situation by cashing ♠A before playing the ♣T squeezecard:
♠QJ
♥A8
--
♠A
♥Q9
♣T
Then
♠Q
♥A8
--
♠
♥Q9
♣T
West squeezed with:
♠K
♥Q9
♠QJ
♥A8
--
♠A
♥Q9
♣T
Then
♠Q
♥A8
--
♠
♥Q9
♣T
West squeezed with:
♠K
♥Q9

Your play was better than mine, I put up the 6 of clubs, instead of the 8,
and East kept his King, covering is certainly better, although it should
not really matter.
If the King does not come, I would say 12 is the limit.
