Yet another Possum failure after thinking a long time and not quite getting it right

I thought if I was lucky I could make 7 tricks ( 6 down) doubled lol Too far up the duplicate table for my brain

You don't even need very good math here...
If EW are worthy of trust, then they have 1430: you can afford to pay 1400 and have 7 sure tricks.

Those two numbers were what I did not calculate or know. Believe it or not I don't carry them round in my head
But the sacrifice was a clear win. Someone even managed to make 8 tricks lol
I should have cheated and looked it up
And it scored well because seemingly beyond much of the field

-300 beats NV game beats -500
-500 beats V game beats -800
-800 beats NV slam beats -1100
-1400 beats (almost all) V slam beats -1700

The *only* exception to this simple sets of rules is that Vul *minor suit* slams are 1370/1390 (oh, and NV games making 7 are 510/520).

And I think being with the bottom half of a field is more disappointment than total failure

And I forgot top score was the slightly psyche 1 club opening ending in 5 clubs doubled - but I was not alone in not knowing my duplicate table
