Sorry for the long post.
I understand this is a basic version of modern Jacoby 2NT.
I get a bit lost by what or how the spiral responses work.
Can anyone explain in plain English how they work with examples?
Please assume I have no idea or experience with Spiral responses.
Thank you in advance.

It is not because things are difficult that we do not dare, it is because we do not dare that they are difficult.

Don't know too much about spiral myself either, but I suspect there's no major relation between it and Jacoby 2NT, more that it's this partnership's preferred way to exchange information at later stages in auctions. Where you put honors in a fixed order, and then each time you have a card in that list, you skip the next bid, so partner can tell what you have / are missing.
I have nothing worth contributing, bye

Ah, I see, I thought it meant for continuations *after* you showed the suit. You're probably right.

I thought spiral was what happened just before completely going out of control.
