For most of BBO's history, there was a prominently featured logout button on the main screen. Especially for online play using laptop/desktop.

This button is now gone. Replaced by an option accessible only by clicking username.

So how about getting rid of the "Are you sure you want to logout?" challenge when I choose to logout?

Or you can just close the window and say yes to the "are you sure" pop up.
Fewer clicks.
Same result.

Are you saying they have restored the original (and awful) logic of clicking on one's own username to logout?
I do hope not, I spent years getting that (at least) changed to a more logical and consistent display of profile.

Or maybe that change was only made during tournaments, which is all of my play.

Clicking on your username now brings up a menu. The menu includes "Show profile" (the old action), Help, Logout, and and invisibility toggle.

Putting the logout option inside a menu like this has become common on many websites.

If you say so, although it seems like a step backwards to me.
Showing profile (just as happens clicking on any other username) seems logical and efficient.
I would expect Help and Logout to be immediately identifiable and not hidden in the table or in a menu.

Maybe this regression change has only occurred in robot games?
I just played a free tournament and clicking on my username showed my profile.
But then GiB has never yet claimed when playing with me either.

Perhaps I was not clear; my apologies.

When logged in via Laptop / PC: Top line, left to right ---> BBO logo, back arrow, home icon, [space for Text], BB$ basket icon, your username.
When you click this "username" icon, a dropdown menu appears ---> invisible (on/off button), show profile (clickable), Help (clickable), Logout (clickable)

Previously, IIRC, there was a LOGOUT button on the top line, approx near where the current BB$ icon appears.

I am not talking about your (on-table) username when present are at a table. I am referring to the "top line" of the BBF screen
