If I ever feel like looking at garbage, I don't bother going to the city dump. I just watch GIBBO robots attempting to play "bridge".

96.4 % for making two overtricks in 5D, so I can't complain about the result, but I can complain (as usual) about North's hopeless bidding. Note that the *****ous sloth has a good FIVE-card heart suit that he never shows. That didn't cost him on this random hand, since I happened to have only a stiff 3 of hearts...but it has cost him (and all his equally oblivious GIBBO compatriots) numerous times in the past on other random hands and will undoubtedly cost him and his disreputable ilk numerous more times in the future. These twits should have abandoned bridge long ago and taken up ping pong...or better yet, 52 pick-up.

Exact average of 50 % on this board. My two comments are directed at North's "philosophy", not because of their relevance on this random hand, but as indications of his perpetual bewilderment.

First: Although there are also some humans who would bid 1NT with his hand, I think it's a poor choice with his collection of dogmeat. With his pancake flat and very weak hand, he should prefer not to be the declarer. I think he should bid 1D. He actually HAS four decent diamonds, so a 1D bid is descriptive AND makes it likely that his partner will declare if NS buy the contract.

Second: Why is North blithely and blindly leading a heart (and I would say the same thing if he led a spade) when EAST has shown hearts and spades (and even diamonds), while SOUTH, North's supposed PARTNER, opened one CLUB?

The "logic" of the GIBBO robots is close to zero.

It didn't cost on this random hand, but West's lead of a diamond...from queen-third...in the ONLY side suit bid by NS...seems like a typically illogical choice that will probably often lead to failure.

ANOTHER illogical lead: A spade...INTO the declarer who opened one spade!

Do the GIBBO robots ever lead anything that is NOT stupid?

A poorly declared hand by the GIBBO robot in the East. He deserved the ZERO he got - and don't forget that declaring is the facet of bridge that is the "best" part of the game for these poor, hopeless rubes.

North's 2C bid certainly worked out well...but WHAT a bid! More often, it would probably lead to a zero for NORTH-SOUTH!

He had a pancake flat 3-4-3-3...THREE-count...ALL in JACKS (!!!), and his "trump" suit of clubs was J97 tripleton! He did this red against white (!) after his LHO had opened the bidding AND his RHO had freely bid 1S over South's takeout double.

Yes, competing is often wise, and yes, his 2C bid DID (amazingly) work out very well...BUT it still boggles the MIND that he would bid on that pile of SAND! Obviously he has never played bridge for money!

If North is going to go slamming, why not in higher-scoring HEARTS rather than in lower-scoring CLUBS? He even KNOWS that we have a 5-3 heart fit.

As always, I'm not crying about the result (and we got a good score on the board anyway, with 78.6 % for bidding and making 6C), but I am pointing out the lack of intelligent thought by the GIBBO robot.

Sloppy "defence" by the GIBBO robots sitting EW allows me to escape for "only" down one. They get 25 % on the board for their typically bad "defending".

Trick five: North makes the INCREDIBLY stupid play of not taking his ace of hearts.

Totally witless 2S call by West - REVERSING (!) on his aceless and kingless 4-4-2-3 SEVEN-count.

Trick three: North bizarrely plays the spade king, but when it HOLDS, he even more bizarrely SHIFTS to a heart. Is he filming a video called "Changing Horses in Midstream"? Do we have to start taking psychedelic drugs to understand what these refugees from Bizarro World are doing?

Why is North bidding 2D rather than making a negative double (which would be fine in the execrable GIBBO system, as it only promises 3+ in each major)? And, HAVING perversely doubled, why doesn't he bid 3S rather than 3NT over South's 2NT?

Not complaining, as we scored 80.65 % on the board - just pointing out the usual lack of robotic judgment. And BTW, even if we had scored zero on the board, the post would STILL not be to complain - it would STILL be PURELY to expose how rotten the GIBBO robots are, which is the reason that this essential thread that Diana so wisely created exists.

The GIB definitions of 2H and 3H are even worse than usual, which is saying a LOT, considering that GIB definitions are so often nothing but trash. The definition of 3H deserves an Academy Award in the category "Worst Definition".

North's 2NT call is insane. Why haven't GIB definitions, the GIBBO system, and the GIB/GIBBO robots been thrown in a garbage compactor and replaced with something even APPROACHING decency?

Imbecilic lead (and very reminiscent of the long gone but NEVER missed GIB robots, who were even WORSE than the hopeless GIBBO ones):

And, NO, this is NOT an accidental reposting of #1214 immediately above! It's a different hand. On two consecutive hands, West committed EXACTLY the same kind of atrocity with his braindead lead. These GIBBO robots are the absolute pits! I don't think they can be getting WORSE, but sometimes it seems that way. They are dismal. They are not just worse than the worst human player I have ever encountered in my life, they are far, FAR worse.

Trick three: The total TROUT in the West is SO incredibly hopeless at bridge that he stupidly COVERS the club jack. What a loser! Is his "logic" along the lines of "Why should I make my OPPONENT guess when I can REMOVE the guess?"

It never ends! Hand after hand after hand these GIBBO buffoons persist in demonstrating to the world how truly rotten they are at bridge.

Abomination of a "defence" by the useless garbage sitting in the East-West seats. I don't have the time, desire, or patience to write up how stupid they were on the hand.

And another.

You know, I'm beginning to suspect that maybe - just maybe, mind you - the GIBBO robots are not good at "defending">
