The GIBBO piece of trash makes his usual witless, unscientific, unilateral leap to 6NT, but - incredibly - he has managed to INVENT a NEW auction that is even more staggeringly stupid than usual.

He bids 3C, Stayman. He learns that his partner South, who responds 3S, has at least four spades. He, North, ALSO has four spades...and he LEAPS to six NO TRUMP.

If he was GOING to leap to 6NT anyway, then...why the HELL did he bother bidding Stayman?

I doubt that these disgusting slimeballs are actually getting even WORSE every day, but they have SO many STUPIDITIES in their arsenal that even after all this time they are still able to entertain us with completely brainless actions that we have never before seen. They are the absolute WEORST!

Typically stupid lead by Johnny Halfwit in the West: a HEART, declarer's known second suit, INTO declarer. Please throw each and every GIBBO robot into either an incinerator or a trash compacter, and replace the useless imbeciles with DECENT robots.

Pathetic joke of a "defence". What else is new?

The GIBBO robot in the North shows why it's losing bridge to pass in such situations.

BTW, even if his pass had worked out well, I would have made this same post.

The GIB definitions are all worthless garbage as usual, but with East's bidding (showing a LOT of minor-suit cards), and with West's great minor-suit support AND lack of defence against 4H, AND at favourable vulnerability, I think it was clear for West to bid five of a minor.

We got a good score (82.1 %) for going down "only" one in 3S, but that does not justify North's imbecilic 3H bid. If he chooses to compete to the three level, that's one thing, but why the HELL is he bidding three HEARTS, which is defined as "5+ spades; biddable diamonds; 10 total points". The jerk has NEITHER "5+ spades" NOR "10 total points".

The GIBBO robot in the East was also an I.D.I.O.T. No surprise there: ALL GIBBO robots are I.D.I.OT.s. This particular jackass proved it with his imbecilic lead of the diamond king, even KNOWING that North had a DIAMOND suit.

Why does GIBBO, this festering sore, still even EXIST?

How STUPID are the GIBBO robots? THIS stupid: East COVERS the heart jack at trick two. Consider: East had three hearts in his own hand and saw four in dummy. He knew, since North had opened 1H, that North had at least five hearts. That accounts for 12 of the 13 hearts, and the 13th heart is either in declarer North's hand or in West's, East's partner.

If the 13th heart is in DECLARER'S hand, it is obviously folly for East to cover, because if he does, declarer will win dummy's ace and then pull East's remaining two trumps with his king and 10 (which is actually what happened). BUT if East doesn't (stupidly) cover, declarer might go wrong. He might well rise with dummy's ace, and if he does, presto: East will have a heart trick with his remaining QX.

So, if DECLARER North has the 13th heart, it is CLEARLY wrong for East to cover.

Okay, but what if it's West who has the 13th heart? Well, it would be stiff. If it's a stiff KING and East covers, North will obviously play dummy's ace, crashing East's queen and West's king. East WILL get a heart trick, because he will have 9X behind North's remaining 10-fourth, but EW would have had at LEAST one NATURAL heart trick anyway. So, it is clearly wrong for East to cover if West's hypothetical stiff heart is the king.

What if West's hypothetical stiff heart is a "small" one - ANY heart other than the king or the 10? Again, it is CLEARLY wrong to cover, because declarer will win East's queen with dummy's ace, and will then pull East's two remaining hearts with the king and 10...but if East doesn't cover, declarer might go wrong by playing dummy's ace anyway, whereby East will later score a heart with his remaining QX.

So far, we've seen that it's wrong for East to cover any time North has the 13th heart, and also that it's wrong to cover even if it's West who has the 13th heart, as long as West's stiff heart is ANYTHING except the stiff 10.

So, what if it IS West who has the 13th heart, and his STIFF heart IS the 10? In this ONE scenario, it is "right" for East to cover...but ONLY if declarer was going to SLIDE his jack if it was not covered. Why? Because if East doesn't cover AND North slides his jack, the jack will win (dropping West's hypothetical stiff 10), and declarer will then pull East's two remaining hearts (QX) with dummy's ace and his king...whereas if East had covered the jack with his queen, declarer would have won THAT trick with dummy's ace, dropping West's stiff 10, but East would later have scored a heart trick with his remaining 9X behind declarer's remaining king-fourth.

So: Out of ALL the (many!) possible scenarios from East's point of view at trick two, there is ONLY...ONE (!) where it is "right" to cover: When WEST has the 13th (unaccounted for) heart, AND it is SPECIFICALLY the (stiff) TEN. And even THEN, it is "right" to cover ONLY if declarer was going to SLIDE his jack if it was not covered. But it even goes beyond THAT, because...

If West has the stiff 10, that means that declarer's hearts must be the KJ642 in his hand opposite the A875 in dummy...and with THAT combined heart holding, declarer would NEVER begin the play of the suit by leading the JACK!

So: Covering the jack HAD to be wrong, and HAD to be a very, VERY stupid play...by a typically very, VERY stupid piece of trash known as a GIBBO robot!
