Why are some acol games in the acol club scored using N/S and E/W and others use We/They?
N/S W/W all the time would be better.
With We/They the scoring goes haywire if someone leaves and new person joins. We becomes They, and vice versa. What's going on?

ns/ew or we/they why?

We/They refers to rubber bridge scoring. "We" is the side doing the actual scoring, "They" are the opposite side. In a typical rubber bridge environment, partners are not fixed and people shift seats and play with different people. I don't know what you mean by the scoring going haywire.

Thanks for response.
Why are some games using N/S E/W and others using We/They? What is the deciding factor do you know?

Thanks pesceton, that explains the E/W thing.
I do think it would be better if it was E/W N/s all the time.
(I seem to have started this in the wrong section)

I used to enjoy we/they in robber bridge. Always amused me when they were scoring
Are we they or is it you?
Sorry for being amused
