Btw, after 4H (4S) I can’t imagine not bidding 5H as north. In what universe is 4S likely to fail? Bear in mind that even if 4H was a permissible bid for this partnership, surely the vast majority of 4H bids, at favourable, have less defence.

That is a Namyats for me. It would already be too heavy for 4♥ even not playing Namyats.
Did his partner alert the inference that he did not bid Namyats?
I know ACBL are not on that bandwagon but it seems to me necessary if they did not present a card.

This was a BBO game, no alert but I was at the other table so don't know what was said in the chat.
Regular partnership, regular team game so I doubt that there was an issue.
Full Disclosure is such a 90's concept.

This is 7.5 playing tricks, which is for my usual agreements not good enough for a Namyats 4♣.

Negative inferences are not generally alerted in the ACBL, however the current alert procedure does require the alert of a natural opening suit bid if there is another way to show the same suit at the same level. So this 4♥ opening qualifies.
