Hi all,

Defending in suit contracts: what is the standard convention, or what should be, about the next card to play in the leading suit?

If you are playing fourth best:
A1.- Leading the 3 from 5 card suit: Q8732 or 98732: what is the next card to play?
A2.- Leading the 4 from 6 card suit: Q87432 or 987432 : what is the next card to play?

If you are playing 3ª/5ª:
B1.- Leading the 5 from 4 card suit: Q854 or 9654: what is the next card to play?
B2.- Leading the 3 from 6 card suit: Q87432 or 987432: what is the next card to play?

If you are playing 3rd highest from even (4-6) and low (5th) from odd (3-5-7):
C1.- Leading the 6 from Q762 or 9763, what is the next card to play?
C2.- Leading the 6 from Q86432 or 986432, what is the next card to play?

Thank very much
Kind Regards,

B1 / B2

The 2nd card we play is the 3rd.
Obv. this is high low, indicating a doubleton, but p should be able to work it out, that
we dont hold 2 cards, but 4 / 6.
With kind regards
