I know what this is and I have played it a little but given it away.

The big problem I see with this method is that when you are missing two (of six) key cards then slam could be great - missing two kings and therefore one of two finesses - or hopeless - missing two aces.

Is there any way to resolve this problem?

I used to play it, but cant say its good, it was too complex for us.
