If someone bails at my table, he will only do it once. I will not play him again.
If someone boots me from his table, he will only do it once. I will not play him again.

In either case I may be irritated, but my irritation is limited to one hand in the main playing area. I can live with that better than I can live with the curent boot'n'bail policy.

Now, that miscreant may go and do the same repeatedly against other players, but if those other victims judiciously apply the "enemy" flag the capacilty of the miscreants to cause offence is limited, without the need for abuse or admin involvement.

Tourneys have their own protection in addition to the above market forces, so on balance I reckon that the boot'n'bail policy is a bad thing. Well, my opinion is always subject to change. A closed mind is a bad thing.
Psych (pron. saik): A gross and deliberate misstatement of honour strength and/or suit length. Expressly permitted under Law 73E but forbidden contrary to that law by Acol club tourneys.

Psyche (pron. sahy-kee): The human soul, spirit or mind (derived, personification thereof, beloved of Eros, Greek myth).
Masterminding (pron. mPosted ImagesPosted ImagetPosted Imager-mPosted ImagendPosted Imageing) tr. v. - Any bid made by bridge player with which partner disagrees.

"Gentlemen, when the barrage lifts." 9th battalion, King's own Yorkshire light infantry,
2000 years earlier: "morituri te salutant"

"I will be with you, whatever". Blair to Bush, precursor to invasion of Iraq

I don't understand why people are concerned.

If Fred's objective was to eliminate players who
behave themselves we should be worried yes.

I have faith that they will protect BBO from lack
of players, and only deal with the worst.

Why not just go about our normal business on BBO
and see if that is good enough to stay?

anyway it appears you can boot the same player a large number of times and it counts as just one boot. So if you boot GIB 50 times presumably that counts as only one boot, not likely to get you into trouble.
