Caren is seven today, though with time difference it might be yesterday. Either way, Happy Birthday Caren. I hope all your birthday wishes come true.

Thank you!
To explain the 7: I feel like being 27, look perhaps like 37 (people say so :P ) and in fact I am now 47 (can't believe it...). But what is a number ;)

In fact I made a lemon-creamcake using a kind of Mascarpone :P (did not yet find a good recipe for THE Crema Catalana...)

Age is measured objectively. Fortunately, attitude is measured subjectively. I wrote this with ageing in mind. See if it applies....

Reflection

There’s an old man in the mirror
Who is staring back at me
He just seems to be saying
This is what I’ve come to be.

Too long ago, when all my time
Was always on my side
It was often really easy
To let most things just slide.

But sliding causes friction
And friction causes wear
And wear and tear as we well know
Causes more than just grey hair.

Its not so hard, to realize
That time can’t be denied
Despite our greatest efforts
A law, we must abide.

Don’t be surprised or seem dismayed
By how you look and feel
A part of you is still 19
And that’s the part that’s real.

So carry on and don’t be scared
Of what awaits beyond
The nicest part of any trip
Is always, coming home.

And home is where the heart is
And hearts are made for love
And love is never-ending
Unlike this poem, thank God!
The Grand Design, reflected in the face of Chaos...it's a fluke!
