I'll make a game try too. I'm fine with a SS, but I hate giving the defense a road map, so I might opt for 3♠.

4S, imo you are losing a ton if you are not bidding 4S with this. A ton. If you make some game try you give LHO a chance to get his X and bid in, or X and X, if he has that. We have no defense, and they could be cold for game w/e. If you bid 4S you can bully him into the 5 level, or tame him with a pass. Especially since most people don't X again nearly enough when you jump to 4 on this auction. Also, the lead or defense against YOUR game could be very critical. If you are actually going to do something like make a short suit game try you are just telling them so much. If you are going to make a generic game try partner will not be able to evaluate very accurately, and I think you might as well just bid game rather than risk missing one, and giving LHO a chance to come in at the 4 level/X at the 3 level.
I feel very very strongly on this hand fwiw. I think 4S is really a winning bridge bid. Put the pressure on!

What's Kokish in this context?
I'm all for 4♠ as well.
I'm all for 4♠ as well.
2M+1 = asks partner to bid the lowest suit in which he would accept a game try, can make counter game tries over response
2M+[2,3,4] = short suit game tries

Of course the cool kids play reverse Kokish:
2M+1 = asks partner to bid the lowest suit in which he would not accept a short suit game try.
2M+[2,3,4] = natural game try.
