I was bored yesterday afternoon so I created a new game:

https://www.bridgeba..._game/game.html

It might actually be useful for bridge-training purposes too ;)

There are no instructions, but I suspect you will be able to figure it out. The high score for 10 problems is currently 80. Can anyone do better?

The game is not exactly "polished" and I am unlikely to spend much time on improving it in the near future. Really this is just a fun diversion, but of course please feel free to comment if you are feeling so inclined.

You will need Flash 9 installed on your computer in order to play this game. You can find out what version of Flash you have through:

http://www.adobe.com...ts/flash/about/

You can download the latest version of Flash through:

http://www.adobe.com...ts/flashplayer/

Enjoy!

Cute game. I can see how you get better practicing it. I got 74 on the laptop. I'd like to try it with a 10-key pad. But good idea to get you thinking quickly about outstanding cards.

As an advanced variant, maybe have another column with outstanding cards and start filling in the numbers. E.g.

9 --- 1 - 4 - 2 - ?

I got the first one right by accident. It was 5 - 0 - 3 - ? and the choices only went up to 7. So I went in base 7 and started with 5, and went down 5, up 3, then for the last number down 5 again. 2, 1, 7, 6, 5. So the answer was 5 :P (didn't even realize I was skipping 0 that round). Finding a pattern that way didn't work so well on the next hand, but then I figured out the game.

I need help.

:)

I think I found the solution..

The solution was actually formulated in the rule :"It might actually be useful for bridge-training purposes too"

4 suits..
13 cards..

1 suit in each box..

What I don't understand is that I got 10 good answers and 11 points?

I don't understand!

Another game( but nothing to do with bridge!)
This one can be solved by a 5 years old child, then no need to try big calculations! :)

Fred,

I wish I could be this entertaining when I'm bored. It is a family game, too; I played the game with my young daughters this morning, and it's a start toward getting them to count to 13. Thanks.

To the best of my knowledge your 91 is a tie for the best score yet.

The person you are tied with is a girl ;)
