CONGRATULATIONS BEN ! (inquiry)

We think your YELLOW COAT suits you VERY WELL !! :)

You are to be THANKED and COMMENDED for all the time and effort you have put in on behalf of the Beginner Intermediate BBO membership as Moderator of this Forum since its inception.

Mind you there are times when I am not quite sure I forgive you for catapulting me into the role of Founder / Manager of the Beginner Intermediate Lounge (BIL)- Private BBO Club . :)

I am, however, pleased to announce that you have taken on the role of Official Yellow for the BIL - I run a pretty tight ship so I do not think you will find the role onerous. It is comforting to know that the members will have you to turn to should they run into any problems out in the big wide world of the Main Bridge Club.

On behalf of all BIL members THANK YOU for your continued support - don't let your duties as Moderator & Yellow reduce your playing time.

Thank you Maureen, I gladly accept the honorary title you have bestowed upon me. But make sure your members know that all yellows stand equally ready to help them with any problems they encounter in the main room or anywhere on BBO. And in fact, the "old hand" yellows are more experienced and we should all continue to call on them (I know I will as I learn the ropes).

Good luck to you Ben and to the rest of the yellows to catch "all those madmans" that's lurking around BBO's corridoes, and if you don't see them take a game instead(just kidding) ;)

Have a nice day all :D

To have Ben becoming a yellow is like watching the late Ayrton Senna race around the track - effortless motion coupled with a keen intellect that "bridged" styles, generations, and the public in general. Kudos to Uday and crowd for a superb choice.

No, no I won't. Hehehehe.:-)

Thanks again to all the BIL members for their comments. Many may not know this, but I origianally wrote Fred asking that such a club be started... He gave me a formatted reply about the private clubs and the needs that would have to be met before one could be started. Long story short, I knew that I could never accomplish what was requested (to be honest, most private clubs don't come close to meeting those requirements even today). Since I knew I couldn't ever do what was necessary to run such a club, I tricked...er.... recruited, Maureen to run with the ball I refused to even pick up. She has exceeded even my greatest hope for the BIL.

In another thread, some one asked what we like best about the BBO. In that one, I replied

"The people. By this I mean Fred and Uday of course, but also the many

players and volunteers that keep the site alive. I also very much like the

"educational" aspects of BBO as it relates to improving one's bridge."

Obviously, through Maureen's and here supporters represent just the people I was talking about and the knd of educational content that I so admire. So how could I possibily refuse her offer to be the clubs "official" yellow?

I think that BIL is the most usefull(i woud be happy to achive a small % of that with junior flight, wich is also supported from maureen very well) and best run private room on bbo and that u "fit " to one andother well,

U really deserve eachother and good luck to u ben & BIL
