I thought this was kind of funny.
I mentioned in another post that I was playing Muiderberg with a gentleman until someone pointed out that we could not play Multi, which I did not know. Until then, we had several Muiderberg auctions (which were allowed) that all seemed to work wonders. As I had never played Muiderberg before, I found this exciting and intriguing.
After we found out that Multi was no good, we converted to simple Weak Twos. I was shortly thereafter dealt a classic Muiderberg hand and decided to open it 2♠ anyway because it was sort of a good weak two. Partner had a hand where passing Muiderberg OR a weak two was right, so the contract was 2♠ regardless of what 2♠ meant. However, this time, I went down -200 for a terrible score.
So,
Apparently Muiderberg only works if you are playing Muiderberg.

"Gibberish in, gibberish out. A trial judge, three sets of lawyers, and now three appellate judges cannot agree on what this law means. And we ask police officers, prosecutors, defense lawyers, and citizens to enforce or abide by it? The legislature continues to write unreadable statutes. Gibberish should not be enforced as law."

That's called coincidence Ken. Ya need a bigger sample size!
You could have converted to using the 2♦ as a regular weak 2 and left Muiderberg in - not common of course - but I don't see why not.
