In a monospaced font, you have the nice property that each character is the same size. However if you then type normal bridge hands, you will have a problem with the 10. Of course you could write "T" in English, but in German the "Z" is not really desired. Is there a character for "10" and how do I implement it so that I can use it?

Years ago (circa 1994) I created my own 10 character for a vugraph project I was working on that was used in the Far East Teams in Wellington. I don't precisely recall how I did that but I am sure it is possible to manipulate a font to include a custom character of this type.

I have always used the 'T' ... and that is what is used in 'portable bridge notation', 'deep finesse', and as I recall, even in BBO's own .lin files.

roman numerals: X
it's easy to make new characters in bitmap fonts, probably not that hard in truetype or whatever adjustable fonts BBO uses. The issues is that then BBO would probably need to license some font and distribute it with the software, rather than using the already existing character sets.
