JTxx KJxx AJxx x

w/w mp. partner deals

p-1-x-1
x-2-p-p
2-p-p-3
p-p-

I think I would have bid 2 over 2, but this was partner's problem.

3 seems just about fair. Hope they don't bid 3NT now, which may well make ahah.

1 is more often a correct call and no bluff, so I would expect bad breaks all around and pass.
Kind Regards

This was a hesitation UI hand. I broke tempo before passing 3 and partner bid 3. I thought his decision was close and that the hesitation clearly suggested bidding, but he thought it was clear to bid. The director let 3 stand. I was surprised but obviously didn't complain.

 Pard - opp1 - You - opp2
p     -   1C    -    X  -  1S ( this could be the common psyche )
X ( should show 4 cards Sp )

Continuing:
X     -  2C   -    X* ( it was T/O the first time, and it is still for T/O )

Continuing:
X     -  2C   -    X*  -  3C
?? ( now it is partner's problem )

Edit--Or maybe the continuation is:
X     -  2C   -    X*  -   p
2H   -   p   -    p  -   3C
 p     - p    - p

I think i will bid but pass is clearly a logical alternative imo

3H would certainly be bid by a majority in a poll, but I think it would have to be 90+ percent, and not many of those even considering pass in order to allow 3H. Perhaps in different jurisdictions there are different standards for LA, and my numbers probably aren't right for anywhere, but sticking with it.

I would pass. We have no undisclosed values or shape after the initial double, our opponents are already pushed to the 3 level, and they are in a minor.

Pass is definitely a LA.
