I pass, i am pretty pesimistic when in misfit and have bad texture in my own suit, i know we can miss game, but i will take the risk. If pd is opening weak 2 in 1st seat like i do, i will be fine with pass i think.

Easy pass for me, because our 2 level preempts can be really weak.

Depends on partner. With most partners I would pass. There is a couple people I would bid 2 with though. In general though, we need an awful lot from partner to have a decent chance at game.

I still hate to pass, I'm going to try 2N Ogust.

A75/QJT987/43/43 is alot? at Game All? The problem is the safety of the 3 level when partner does not have the right hand rather than partner not being able to have enough. I think I would still bid 2S but the risk certianly makes Pass a LA. I do not think we should be preempting on rubbish at these colours as dealer (as some have suggested they do).

Yes, I make sure to tap my left toe twice, rhythmically, against the floor letting my partner know that my 2 call is non-forcing. I might have trouble with this treatment in a carpeted environment, however.

I'm with mtvesuvius on this one, it very much depends on partner's preemptive tendencies.

2 with most people, but definitely pass if I'm playing with matmat
I once yelled at my partner for discarding the 'wrong' card when he was subjected to a squeeze that I allowed by giving the wrong count with too high a card. Now he's allowed to pitch aces when the opponents have the king in the dummy. At trick 2. When he could have followed suit. And blame me.

Yes, but 3 probably still has good odds of making and we will stop there after partner's rebid.

IMO 2 = 10, _P = 5, 2N = 2.
We would open 2 with, eg Axx QJxxxx Jx xx
And, for us, 2 is F1.

What a shame. Fortunately my regular partners all have better memories than that... :D

I much prefer a NF treatment, which I have been playing for many years.

As it is so often the case, when playing something as NF, it enables us to get our suits in more often. Partner is in principle pretty well defined, so there is plenty of time to make delicate choice of games decisions later without having a forcing 2 available.
