Well, voting has slowed to a trickle so here's the deal.
Start time on both days will be 19:30 Europe/13:30 US East Coast. By "start time", I mean the time when the first bid or pass is supposed to be made - team captains will be expected to be available 15 minutes before this time. After three rounds of swiss, teams will be split into brackets of 4 teams, the top team in each bracket getting to choose their opponents for the semifinals. Semifinals and finals will consist of 1 segment of 16 boards each. (This all assumes more than 6 teams register, otherwise we'll be playing a round-robin with three or five 12 board matches.)
All rounds will be duplicated, kibitzers allowed. Please do not kibitz any matches until you have finished playing the round - I would hate to have to disqualify a team. No barometer.
In the swiss rounds, there will be no appeals - all decisions by the chief TD are final. In the semifinals and finals I will allow appeals. Appeal deposit is 10 BB$.
There has only been one registration so far, please make use of our partnership desk at http://www.bridgebas...rtnership-desk/ .
Any questions?

The event will be canceled if I receive less than 4 registrations by Sunday, December 12th.
I would just like to remind you folks that this deadline is next weekend.

I warn thee of our scary brown sticker convention!
We use 2NT as a bad pre-empt in either minor, thus 3m promises always 2/3 tops.
I have no idea what is a good defence, so if you come up with one, I'd like to hear it too
We have only one BSC for whole team, kinda lame

Congratulations to Flameous, Suokko, Kaapo and Derric. As the only registrants, they win by default.
Oh well, maybe another team would like to play them on, say, Saturday evening? I'll be happy to set up the matches if desired.

I thought it was a good idea and even had teammates for a while...
Maybe it is just a busy time of year and you could try again in January?

Maybe people could convince me to do a league or something.

I would be happy to try and form a team if there was a league starting in Jan. Shame about the timing as I saw this rather late and I'm already down to play a F2F tournament the same weekend!
(Besides, I'm back home now so European/US timings are going to be bad for me this month.)
