Is there any way of saving these videos to my HDD so I can watch them offline?

Couple of comments:

1) The option to scroll ahead does not seem to work properly on my machine. If I click the time bar say half way along then instead of scrolling ahead it freezes the presentation with a prompt to replay. If prompt is accepted it replays from the start.

2) Can I put in a plea for future recordings to be in Hand Diagram mode? I realise that it is a personal choice, and my personal choice at that. I like to think that I am in the majority. Your server software may be able to poll online players to verify that.

Incidentally, the Round 8, USA2 v Italy recording terminated before a single hand was dealt. (that is what identified problem No 1 for me - I was trying to scroll forward beyond the intro chat. Ultimately ended up playing it all, and it was ALL intro chat).
Psych (pron. saik): A gross and deliberate misstatement of honour strength and/or suit length. Expressly permitted under Law 73E but forbidden contrary to that law by Acol club tourneys.

Psyche (pron. sahy-kee): The human soul, spirit or mind (derived, personification thereof, beloved of Eros, Greek myth).
Masterminding (pron. mPosted ImagesPosted ImagetPosted Imager-mPosted ImagendPosted Imageing) tr. v. - Any bid made by bridge player with which partner disagrees.

The problems you signal seem to be bec the video is very big, and it hadn't finished loading. I just re-checked Round 8 and it's complete... it ends with deal 32. The intro is so long because the match started 10 minutes later than everyone else. I was tempted to cut the idle 10 minutes but the commentators were discussing, and since the hand records will be available anyway it seemed like a good idea to keep all comments.

I had my first ever attempt at making a video of a vugraph presentation last night which I've posted to youtube:

Round 10 Australia vs USA1 Bermuda Bowl

I tried something a bit different and arranged the panes on my desktop to include the streaming video feed from the playing room and I used the audio from the onsite commentators rather than the BBO commentators (sorry Roland) as it was coming through a bit more clearly and also had a nice tie-in with the video feed for things like reading out explanations from written notes, audience applause, etc.

Thanks for the encouragement. I will try to do a few more over the rest of the Bermuda Bowl (particularly if Australia gets another match in the "studio") but I'm limited to only being awake for the first two matches/segment each day and I can only do one per day as it takes my clunky computer about 3 hours to compile the video and a similar amount of time to upload the finished product to youtube. I'm planning to record USA1 vs Italy tonight.

I've since uploaded the file to filesonic for anyone that prefers to download it rather than watch it on youtube.

It takes long on any computer i think... Mine is brand new and it still takes at least one hour to render the video plus about 2 hours to upload it. Thank you for doing this. I'm trying to cover Italy transmissions, because the written commentary (which goes to perm archives) is in Italian.

Youtube is a lot faster - I'll put next recordings there as well. (Didn't know it was possible to increase limit over 10 minutes )

If anyone else can record matches pls add them here.

Round 14 Italy vs USA1 Open Room Bermuda Bowl

There were a few minor problems with the capture with a couple of operator freezes and then at about board 24 the onsite commentators switched their commentary to the closed room so I picked up the BBO voice commentary from that point but there is still a bit of noise coming from the onsite video as if you turn their volume all the way down you an annoying "no audio" icon in the middle of the picture. The video feed also fell over a couple of times but generally it was OK. I've left a minute or so of the scorecard at the end. Enjoy.

Many thanks for the mp4 file on filesonic - much appreciated.
Will you be uploading future efforts to filesonic?

Round 16 Sweden vs USA1 Open Room Bermuda Bowl

The video feed fell over just a few seconds before I started the recording, but I got the audio back fairly soon and had the video back within a couple of minutes and it all went OK for the rest of match.

The next match I do will be Round 20 Australia vs China (go Aussies!)

For filesonic users, I'm a little bit restrained with my monthly data limits which is taking a bit of a hammering at the moment. I will definately get any Australia matches up on filesonic, but at this stage I ask that people who want to download a permanent copy of any matches to google for one of the many free appications which can save mp4 files from youtube (personally I use jdownloader).

For anyone interested in having a go at doing a recording themselves, I am using a 30 day trial version of Camtasia Studio which is the same software that Gavin Wolpert uses for his videos on bridgewinners.com. Enjoy!

R17 USA2 vs Bulgaria Open room Bermuda Bowl

There are a few minutes of intro - skip to 8:20 for the actual play.

R18 Italy vs Poland Open room Bermuda Bowl

I messed the beginning - sry. Wasn't really planning to record it and in the rush i forgot to deactivate sound from the video. There's overlapping commentary from 2.40 until 10.15. If anyone has a better recording for this match we'll replace it.

Round 20 Australia vs China Open Room Bermuda Bowl

The live streaming video fell-over a few times and was of intermitant quality, perhaps straining under the heavy demand being placed on the service. Hopefully the wkbridge people can get some extra capacity for the video feed for the knockout stages.

I've also uploaded an mp4 version to filesonic for those who want to download a permanent copy.

QF1 Netherlands vs Iceland Open room BB

QF2 USA2 vs Sweden Closed room BB

There were serious technical problems from hand 24 until hand 28 so the play is missing for those boards. We kept the comments and the repeated attempts of the operators to reload the boards and set the table again (dead times removed).

QF3 USA1 vs Israel Open room BB

QF4 USA2 vs Sweden Open Room Bermuda Bowl

Sorry this a bit late getting posted - my computer crashed while it was rendering the video file after I went to bed so I had to restart that process this morning. Also, the audio from the onsite commentators is very jumpy due to the video feed breaking up quite frequently. I switched over to the BBO voice commentators once the closed room (where I was commentating) finished and I realised the problem; but that has the downside of the annoying "no audio" icon in the middle of the picture.
