Do you bid or pass?
If you bid, do you raise partner's hearts or bid diamonds?
Become yourself.

Pass.

Anything else is a pure guess (quite frankly, so is pass). But I would be surprised if 4 was not the best possible contract at this point.

The only reason for bidding would be fear that the opponents can make a lot of a black suit.

This is a wtp hand.

Passing is so obvious that even thinking about another action is a gross error.

This hand is so lacking in slam interest that I'd save if east-west backed into 4...and I'd save via 5 if east were to balance 4 since I want the lead against 5.

Btw, bidding diamonds here is artificial....whatever usage you want, do NOT include 'natural' within it. I will gladly let you have 10 imps on every hand on which bidding a natural 5 works well opposite a favourable 1st seat 4 or 4 pre-empt by partner.

Finally, I assume that bidding would have worked on this hand, else why would this be posted? was partner 0=8=4=1? I'll pay to that.

Or that he leads a diamond against 5 if he doesn't have A.
