Not long ago, I read that BBO was going to offer 25 cent quick tournaments featuring 8 boards that a player has not yet played in previous tournaments. This could be played anytime.

How do I find and register to these mini-tournies?

Thanks.

In the Web version, in the Featured Areas box where the tournament buttons are, it's the one on the third row that says "Play in an Instant Tournament."

How old are the original tournaments? Were they played using the same version of GIB and are the GIBs allocated the same amount of computer time?

There's another thread about this somewhere, I think in the "Suggestions for the Software" forum. Short version: The originals are from 2009, and the robots today are better than the robots from back then. TPTB intend to start using more recent tournaments before long.

Thanks... I am still using the old version of BBO. Perhaps this will be a way I can ease myself into the web version. :)
