I know Gib runs simulations for leads but this is ridiculous. I doubled Stayman for a lead (probably not sound but had Axxx)

They end up in 4 Gib on lead with KQJx leads a singleton trump which is dangerous as I probably have 4 so might pick up suit instead of very safe K

Not that I like this logic, but...

GIB thinks 2 shows rebiddable clubs. Given his club holding, he thinks declarer will be wanting club ruffs. Therefore, he tried to remove trumps before too much of this can happen.

declarer will have 4 trump in each hand from bidding, leading trump unlikely to cut down on ruffs.

yes, Gib doesn't do lead directional bids but when p shows a suit and you have KQJx in it how often do you lead it?
